Wire Forming of 304 Stainless Steel for Radiography (Dental Industry)
Using a variety of machining processes, including drilling, staking, chamfering, and forming, we designed and built custom tooling and machinery systems to produce a series of dental positioning arms for a digital radiology equipment manufacturer based in New York. These dental arms are universally used in dental offices with either digital or conventional X-ray technology for positioning molded film retainers.
Upholding tolerances of .002 inches, each .125 inch square positioning arm is machined and formed, before being assembled together with two escomatic turned, spherical radial pins. Constructed from auto cleavable 304 stainless steel, the arms are tumbled and electro polished to ensure a smooth 16 RMS finish or better.
Offering just-in-time delivery service, we can manufacture 1,000 to 20,000 units per order. Our custom-built products were tooled completely in-house and meet all client specifications. Using our advanced wire form technology, we were able to successfully fabricate a series of dental positioning arms that exceeded client expectations.
